Online Roulette 2019 – Best Guide to UK Online Casino

Roulette is a popular casino table game that is named after the French word for ‘Little Wheel’. The game is a relatively simple one that includes a wheel containing pockets with different numbers inside. The wheel is spun, and a ball is dropped onto the reel.

Players must try to guess which number the ball will land on. There are numerous betting options available, including number clusters, lines and single number betting. All of this is set out in detail on a table, where players will place their chips according to the bets they would like to place.

A History of Roulette

The very first roulette wheel was developed in the late 18th century in France. It is believed that Blaise Pascal may have created an even more primitive version in the 17th century, when he was trying to create a machine for perpetual motion.

The mechanism used is actually a hybrid of a game-wheel created in 1720 and an Italian game called Biribi. The current form of roulette has been played since 1796, when it was introduced in Paris. Initially, the zeros were also placed in pockets of red and black, but, later on and to avoid confusion, the zeros were placed on a green background instead.

American vs. European Roulette Online – Which One To Play

There are two distinct roulette wheels; the American and European. The American wheel harks back to the original roulette wheel and contains both a single and a double zero pocket, therefore adding an extra number to the wheel and increasing the house edge. The single-zero European wheel was created in Bad Homburg in 1843 by two Frenchmen, Francois and Louis Blanc, who changed their wheel to contain just the single zero, in an effort to compete with the other new casinos, as it gave players a slightly better chance of winning.

Throughout the 19th century, roulette spread throughout Europe and on to America, where it has since become one of the most popular of casino games. In the 1860s, the German government banned gambling, so the Blanc family moved to Monte Carlo, which they made into the gambling haven it is today. During their stint here, the European single-zero wheel became the number one game, and soon it became the most common variant on a global scale. It was only in America that the double-zero wheel stayed at number one.

For many years, it was impossible for American players to play anything but the double-zero roulette version. However, in recent times, and with the improvement in technology, it is now possible for anyone to access any version of the game, no matter where they are. Online casinos offer virtual roulette games in both styles, and now often provide live dealer games in both as well.

Betting on Roulette Online – How To Get Started

For the best roulette guide, look no further than here. There are so many betting options on roulette that it can be slightly daunting. The table is not actually as complex as one might believe, however: there is the straight, which is a simple bet on one number; the split, which can be placed on two vertical or horizontal adjacent numbers; and a street, when a bet is placed on three consecutive numbers or a corner on four numbers in a corner of the table.

There are more in this vein, and these all make up what are known as the inside bets. These pay out at a much higher rate than the outside bets, simply because of the lower probability of getting it right. Outside bets are much simpler, and contain betting combinations such as odds or even, red or black or dozen bets. These pay out much lower roulette winnings than the inside bets, but make it more likely that the player gets it right.

Live Automatic Roulette

Live auto roulette is exactly the same as found in a brick and mortar casino. The European wheel is used rather than the American, so the single zero is in place rather than the double, which increases your chances of winning. The aim is to predict which of the 36 slots the ball will end up in after the wheel is spun. There are minimum and maximum bets for the table and they are displayed in a separate section. Apart from just placing your bets on one or more numbers, there are various combinations of bets, which can give you a better chance of winning.

For more favourable odds, you can bet on red or black, 1-18 or 19-36, and on all the even numbers or odd. This means you have just under a 50% chance of winning each time the wheel spins. It is under half because the house owns the zero. However if you do bet on any one of the above combinations, there is a great rule which applies called La Partage. It limits your losses, should you not have called correctly. Half the value of your losing bet is paid back to you. This means that theoretically over time you would receive 98.65% of what you put in back.

There are two different sections where you can place your bets. Inside bets are placed on actual numbers, which are in three columns of 12 numbers each. There is the straight bet, where you place a bet on a single number, and the split bet which you can place on two adjoining numbers. For this, you put the chip on the line between the numbers. You can also place a three line or street bet by placing the chip adjacent to three numbers in a row. Outside bets are placed on the area outside the numbers and include the bets already mentioned for which the La Partage rule is applicable.

To start the game of automatic roulette, you are asked to place your bets. The bet timer counts the time down. You can point at different areas of the table to indicate your bets. When a bet is highlighted a window appears, displaying the minimum and maximum bets. Then you need to choose the value of the chip you want to play and the amount of chips you will be using for that bet. You can point at the chips on the table to check for the possible payout. When the bet timer reaches zero, the virtual ball is thrown out onto the spinning wheel, and the real fun begins.

What's New: Dragonara Dual Play

Dragonara Casino has coupled up and collaborated with Evolution Gaming to introduce an untapped, brand-new gaming experience - Dual Play Roulette. This feature allows online players to engage in playing Roulette with players who are present at the actual Roulette wheel live at the Dragonara Casino in Malta. Therefore, the game has a fusion of both live footage through video streams, and online participation, through computers or other connected devices. This innovative concept enhances the player's game with live dealers, whom the players may even be familiar with through their land-based casino experiences. The Dual Play table is well developed and explores further the potential of online gaming.

Bridging the online aspect with real venues is an extension to the market which is desired by most casino and gaming companies. Dragonara Casino has truly expanded its customer-base by strengthening the service given to online players. Therefore, one can say that the resources allocated to delve into this leading-edge experience are well-spent. Many other online casinos have and will likely follow these footsteps, or at least hope to do so. An advantage of this multiplayer platform is that it is not restricted in number of players present - it can be accessed by an unlimited number of other players via the internet.

The unlocked potential of Dual Play is large, drawing on the excitement of the real casino experience and amalgamating it with the known demand of online play. Franco Degabriele, Development Director Dragonara Gaming Limited, rightly mentioned the benefit which Dual Play has brought about, that of retaining the amount of players who play at the casino while on holiday in sunny Malta, apart from the loyal local clientele. He emphasised the fact that those who have visited, can once again have a seat at the Roulette table which they enjoyed in real play, even when having departed and are far beyond our shores. Another instance of diminishing distance through technology.

Dragonara Casino has set the ball rolling with its successful launch of Dual Play Roulette, but the options of online live casino tables with the same instalment is growing fast. The 2016 Annual Report of Evolution Gaming lists other clients which opted for on-premise Dual Play Roulette including The Hippodrome Casino and The Ritz Club. In this report, Evolution Gaming had announced that this segment is strong and has long term potential, as it was an identified market need which they fulfilled. Moreover, Evolution Gaming declared focus on launching Dual Play Baccarat in 2017, a promise well-kept with Victoria Casino in London being the first to host in 2018.

Keybet Roulette

Most people classify Key Bet Roulette as a game of the 90's. However, it is a top-rated roulette game which is found mostly on Coral and Ladbrokes roulette machines. The game has a standard roulette wheel with a range of numbers from 0 to 36. There is also an additional bonus slot called Key Bet. During each spin, a small percentage of the bet amount adds up in a progressive cash pot. The amount of the stake determines the value of the jackpot. In this case, there are two versions of Key Bet Roulette - the one allowing £1 per spin and the one requiring a minimum of £5 per spin.

The Key Bet roulette has a standard betting table. You can also play the neighbouring bets via an additional racetrack. The wheel has a an additional Key Bet position (for activating the bonus) and a single zero pocket. You can also place a bet on the wheel. The game has a return to player of 94.74%. The game has one of the most attractive interfaces which is also easy-to-use. You can also have multiple customisable options at your disposal. For example, you can control the game sounds according to your needs and even see the recent winning numbers before you place a bet.

The best way to play the Key Bet roulette is to trick the odds to be on your favour. It is simple to master the machine strategy. All you need is to find the best progressive pots with the highest value. You can achieve it by comparing multiple bookmakers available. Set aside £5 for a bet. Then place a small bet £1 on Key Bet and the remaining £4 in 20p chips.

The bet is likely to result in a winning number returning £7.20 or even a cashpot. The maximum you can lose per spin is £5. The strategy takes long process but it has a guaranteed profit.

If you are a gambler who love trying new things, Key Bet roulette is a must try, though beware of its addictive nature. It offers an attractive interface and a very easy-to-use gameplay, which will take you a relatively short time to master especially if you are conversant with the local roulette casino. It is a game which has the probability of winning big. A lot of players enter play as a result of the hefty, and rather tempting, progressive jackpot. Do you wish to give it a go? Make sure you master the classic rules and you will be good to go!

How to Play Online Roulette this Year

With this in mind, there are also numerous strategies that can be employed when playing roulette. Firstly, for the most part, it is better to play on the European wheel, as winning chances are automatically increased simply by there being one less pocket. It is also advantageous to find a wheel that offers La Partage bets, which means that if the ball lands in the green zero pocket, the player will be reimbursed half their wager rather than losing the whole amount.

There are a number of different systems that players will use in an attempt to do better than the house edge in guessing the probability of a ball drop. The Martingale system is probably the most commonly used, and simply involves the player doubling their bet after every loss. The idea is that, gradually, the money would be made back from the original loss.

Other systems include the Labouchere and the D’Alembert systems but, at the end of the day, roulette is purely all about luck. Most games will display hot and cold numbers, which some players may choose to use, whilst others will simply play ‘lucky’ numbers until the odds are that the ball lands.
